KADEPAY COMPARES / Payments & billing

Wave costs vs KadePay: plans, fees and usage

Understand Wave pricing before comparing it with KadePay. Separate the software plan, processing costs and usage charges, then calculate a scenario from your own quotes.

How Wave prices the reviewed offering

Compare core Starter records with Pro automation, bank imports, and receipt capture. Pro processing discounts have transaction-count and eligibility conditions; payment method and optional payroll or advisory services affect the total.

Pricing model: Free Starter, paid Pro, transaction fees, and optional paid business services

Check current pricing
  • Starter versus Pro automation requirements
  • Monthly versus annual Pro billing
  • Card brand, bank payment, and transaction mix
  • Eligibility and limits of Pro processing discounts
  • Optional payroll, receipts, bookkeeping, or advisory services

Build a like-for-like quote

For freelancers and small businesses that need invoices connected to bookkeeping, a useful budget follows the work you actually perform. Ask each provider to price the same staff count, payment channel and required customer tasks. Include the integrations needed for the complete setup, and keep one-time migration work separate from recurring monthly charges.

  • Is the priority service administration or complete bookkeeping and financial reports?
  • Does the business need Pro recurring billing and reminder automation?
  • How do processor discounts, transaction mix, and optional services affect the annual cost?
Walk through the Wave business scenario

Put the KadePay side in the same budget

Choose the applicable KadePay plan and read the complete pricing table. Distinguish terminal and manually entered card rates, appointment usage, session or ticket charges and optional payment methods. Recurring billing and multiple users depend on the plan. Do not compare a card-present rate on one side with an online or manual-entry rate on the other.

If Wave connects to a separate processor, include that processor in its budget. If KadePay uses a processor for your payment setup, include the applicable full payment charges and avoid counting the same charge twice. A software subscription and a transaction processing charge describe different costs.

Your monthly cost worksheet

Compare your own quotes

Enter current quotes for the same payment channel, country and card mix. The example volume is editable; fee fields are deliberately blank. For interchange-plus pricing, use a blended effective rate including interchange, not only the processor markup.

Enter both sets of rates to calculate.

A simple flat-rate worksheet, not an official quote. Excludes taxes, hardware purchases, refunds, disputes, cross-border/currency charges and tiered rate calculations. Add relevant software and usage charges yourself; different fee bases need a separate calculation. Your inputs stay in this page and are not saved.

Before you accept a quote

Pro processing discounts have conditions; compare effective costs using actual transaction volume and card mix.

Read the qualification

Confirm the renewal period, location or staff limits, optional add-ons and any migration work. Ask the provider to demonstrate the exact workflow in your quote. An advertised starting price is not a promise that every feature or every payment method is included.

Questions before you choose
